The City of Glen Dale provides a 24 hour staffed communications center for the citizens of Glen Dale. This dispatch center handles 911, police, fire, rescue and emergency medical calls. They are a liaison for different city departments. They work under all environmental conditions. They are to call take and dispatch the agency that is needed. After normal working hours they dispatch the water department for water breaks and street department for major roadway problems. During the normal working hours they are a switchboard for the city. They also assist police and fire department personal with different activities throughout the year. The are a very important part of the chain of survival.
The dispatchers are trained to handle calls in an emergency situation. We ask citizens to please leave the following information by your telephone:
Address of the location in which you are calling from. This includes street name and number.
Name of the residence in which you are calling from.
Telephone number that you are calling from.
The dispatcher will ask you questions. Please answer these questions. Please stay on the telephone until the dispatcher advises you to hang up.
